As a wedding DJ in Greece with a career spanning back to 1995—and professionally focused on weddings since 2006—I’ve had the honor of being part of countless unforgettable moments. But every once in a while, a wedding comes along that blends cultures, emotions, and energy in a way that reminds me why I love what I do.

On May 24th, 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of being the DJ for Prodromos and Vicky, a beautiful couple who brought their love story from Ireland and the UK to the heart of the Cyclades: Syros.

A Destination Wedding with Heart and Heritage

Prodromos, a Greek native, and Vicky, originally from Ireland, live permanently in the UK. They legally tied the knot in Ireland and then chose to celebrate a symbolic wedding ceremony in the stunning neoclassical Town Hall of Ermoupoli—a dreamlike venue that truly captures the spirit of Greece.

With about 80 guests, many flying in from abroad, the event was the perfect fusion of Greek tradition and international flair. From start to finish, it was clear this was not just a celebration—it was a union of cultures, families, and emotions.

Setting the Mood: Music Planning for an International Crowd

When couples reach out to me, especially for destination weddings in Greece, the first step is always understanding their vision. In our initial calls, we talked through everything—from the vibe they wanted during the cocktail hour, to the energy of the dance floor.

I put together a custom timeline to ensure a smooth flow between speeches, dinner, and dancing. Of course, no wedding goes perfectly according to plan—there were some minor delays with dinner service—but adaptability is key. I adjusted the playlist on the fly to keep the energy and atmosphere just right.

And when the dance floor opened? It exploded.

From Greek classics to Irish favorites and global party hits, we created a seamless musical journey that kept guests of all backgrounds on their feet all night long. One of the best compliments I received? Several guests came up to the groom to ask about the DJ. That kind of feedback is priceless.
